Q. How to back up and Re-install GV-Recording Server software?
A. User may perform the questioned task with the steps provided:
Before attempting, please make sure to stop the Recording Server service using the system tray icon.

2. Clean Re-install (Optional)
If the user wishes to remove the Recording Server folder for a clean re-install:

1. Using FBR
- Stop the Recording Server by right-clicking the Recording Server icon in the system tray and selecting Backup Settings as shown below.
- Check the configurations you want to back up.
- Save to a .backup file.
- Click the Recording Server icon again after stopping the service, then select Restore Settings.
- Choose the .backup file to import.
- Select the settings to import and click the OK button.
- A progress bar will appear, and the message Done will be shown once the process is complete.
- When finished, please restart the Recording Server service.

2. Clean Re-install (Optional)
If the user wishes to remove the Recording Server folder for a clean re-install:
- Perform a backup using FBR and manually copy the .db3 files for use during restore.
- Use File Explorer to open the Recording Server software program folder.
- Locate and back up all .db3 files under the Recording Server folder to a temporary location.
- After installing the new Recording Server:
- Import the FBR settings
- Manually copy the .db3 files back into the Recording Server program folder
