Analog PTZ Camera that supports preset point function
Summary
By integrating a PTZ camera with the GV-ASManager, you can monitor the door entry and/or exit when notification events occur. When a specified notification event occurs, the PTZ camera can be configured to monitor the door entry and/or exit point, and return to another preset point after a specified idle time. This application is illustrated below.
Note: You can install up to 2 analog PTZ cameras to monitor one door upon notification events.
Connecting an Analog PTZ Camera to the GV-DVR / NVR
To physically connect a PTZ camera with the GV-DVR / NVR, you need to make 3 physical connections. Follow the steps below:
- Connect the video cable from the PTZ camera to the video input of the GV-DVR / NVR.
- Connect the RS-485 cable from the PTZ camera to a GV-COM / GV-HUB Box.
- Connect the USB port of the GV-COM / GV-HUB Box to a computer in which the GV-DVR / NVR is installed.
After the PTZ camera and the GV-DVR / NVR are physically connected, follow the steps below to add the camera to the GV-DVR / NVR:

- Idle over: The time period that the camera stays for when a specified notification event occurs.
- Preset: The point that the camera turns to when the Idle over time ends. For details on the configuration of a preset point, please see Configuring the Preset Point on PTZ Camera below.

- To save this Preset point, click the Option button, select Preset Set and select the desired Preset number.
