All GeoVision IP devices and software, using SSL certificates to encrypt data transmission, are NOT affected by the Heartbleed bug which attacks OpenSSL software.

The Heartbleed attacks the vulnerable versions of the OpenSSL software and lets attackers to gain access to your sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and stored files. For more information on the bug, see the heartbleed’s official site http://heartbleed.com/
