[Technical Notice] Snapshot and Playback Export Error on Microsoft Edge (IE Mode) for GV-IP Cameras

Symptom
The snapshot and playback export functions are not accessible when configuring the specified GV-IP cameras on Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode.

Cause
The functions are not accessible due to limited permissions.

Solution
To acquire the permissions for saving the snapshots and playback recordings, adopt the corresponding measures for Windows 10 and Windows 11 as follows.

A. Configuring the Permissions on Windows 10

1. Search and open the Internet Options panel from the Windows search bar.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Uncheck Enable Protected Mode.

4. Select OK.
5. Restart Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode. The functions will be applicable.

B. Configuring the Permissions on Windows 11

1. Search and open the Internet Options panel from the Windows search bar.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Select Trusted sites > Sites.

4. On the Trusted sites dialog box, uncheck the option of Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.

5. Enter the IP address of the IP camera in the field of Add this website to the zone.
6. Select Add > Close.
7. Select OK on the Internet Options panel.
