Statement
Passwords are the most affordable and efficient measure to protect you from cyber attacks and data breaches.

No matter the older IP devices of GeoVision which may have default login credentials, or the latest GeoVision IP devices which no more have default login credentials, when you access a device for the first time, you may be asked to change or create ID and Password. Be sure to create your own password for first-time installation to protect your data from unauthorized access.

Compromised passwords open a door for cyber criminals into your most personal accounts. So, creating strong passwords or meeting the password strength is also required to prevent unauthorized data access. Strong passwords consist of a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special symbols (^_,+{}[]=) and should be at least 8 characters long. We also recommend updating your password every 6 to 12 months.

Time and again, GeoVision urges all users of GeoVision products to upgrade to the latest firmware available for assured data protection: https://www.geovision.com.tw/download/product/
