Released Date: 10/28/2015
Applied to
GV-Recording Server
GV-ASManager
GV-VS12
GV-VS14
GV-GIS
ViewLog / Remote ViewLog
Symptom
While viewing Google Maps through GeoVision software and video servers with Internet Explorer 8, the maps do not function correctly.
Symptom 1
While you access Google Maps through GV-Recording Server, GV-ASManager, GV-VS12, or GV-VS14 with Internet Explorer 8, a warning message appears noting that Google Maps JavaScript API is not supported by Internet Explorer. Under this circumstance, users can still use Google Maps, but some features may not work. Symptom 2
While you access Google Maps through GV-GIS or ViewLog / Remote ViewLog with Internet Explorer 8, the maps are not displayed.
Solution
Google Maps JavaScript API is not supported by Internet Explorer 8 from August 31st, 2015. Upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 9 or later to run Google Maps on GeoVision software and video servers.
If you want to keep your browser of Internet Explorer 8, GeoVision software and video servers provide Microsoft Virtual Earth for map API choice.
For details on Internet Explorer 8 ending support, see the release note on 31 August 2015:
