Applied to:
GV-IP cameras
Issue:
GV-IP camera frequently send packets with MAC address AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF or packet storming causing Cisco switch disabled port interface
Cause:
When GV IP camera is booting up, the whole system is not running up yet so its MAC address will be AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF. Once booting process completed the MAC address will be the one burned in factory.
Solution:
Ask customer to whilelist MAC address AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF so that Cisco switch won’t disable the port.
