Question:
1. The data of fingerprint, name and surname is saved in which database?
2. Is the data encrypted?
3. Can GV-Access Control ID card or Tag memorize this data?
4. Is it possible to open the door or by fingerprint or by card or by digital code?
Answer:
1. The data of fingerprint, name and surname is saved in which database?
---> The fingerprint is saved on the fingerprint reader itself.
2. Is the data encrypted?
---> Yes. It’s encrypted by 3DES.
3. Can GV-Access Control ID card or Tag memorize this data?
---> No. The data is not saved to ID card or tag.
4. Is it possible to open the door or by fingerprint or by card or by digital code?
---> Do you mean open a single door by one of those 3 methods?
If yes, then setup will be a bit complicated. First you need to setup that door with “card or common mode” then add the fingerprint reader independently to the same door and setup GeoFinger on ASManager for fingerprint access. However, the downside of this setup is that door’s digital code is shared by all people which might be vulnerable.
