[Technical Notice] Switch GV-IA1330 to NTP Sync to Prevent Access Control Failures

Symptom
Users are denied access through the GV-IA1330 controller when the following three settings are enabled simultaneously.
1. Sync with Latest Server Enabled
The Time Sync Mode is set to Sync with Latest Server Time (Setup > System > Time).
2. Auto Restart Enabled
The Auto Restart function is configured and enabled (Setup > System > Maintenance).
3. Daylight Saving Time (DST) Enabled on GV-Cloud Access Control
The Daylight Saving is configured and enabled on the GV-Cloud Access Control.
Solution
To prevent access failures, change the time Sync Mode to Sync with NTP Server on the GV-IA1330, and use your preferred NTP Server to synchronize the time on the controller.
1. On the controller’s Web interface, navigate to Setup > System > Time.
2. Select Sync with NTP Server from the Sync Mode dropdown list.
3. Type a NTP Server IP address or domain name. Default port is 123.
4. Change Update Interval to 30 seconds for rapid synchronization.
5. Click Save to apply settings.
6. Click Test to verify connection with the NTP Server. Note that settings must be saved before testing.
