Summary
This document explains how to regularly back up and restore GV-Recording Server data to support disaster recovery and system migration. To safeguard your surveillance environment, it is strongly recommended to back up your configuration and databases on a routine schedule.
Regularly backed-up data can be used in the following three scenarios:
• Scenario 1: Restore the data following system setting or database corruption
• Scenario 2: Reinstall or format the operating system on the current server
• Scenario 3: Migrate data to a new physical server
