Question:
I have a GV-Storage + Expansion System V3, but I accidentally changed the configuration and now I can’t access the system through the web browser.
What should I do next?

Answer:
Here are the recommended troubleshooting steps you can try to regain access.

A. Direct Connection Test
Check the LCD panel on ETH_0. For example, it currently shows the IP address 10.170.10.204.
Using another computer (e.g. laptop), connect to each network port on the GV-Storage V3 one at a time and try to access 10.170.10.204 in a web browser. If the Web UI opens, you can reconfigure the system from there.

B. Network Scan
If the first step does not work, use Advanced IP Scanner (https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com) to scan the network ports connected to the GV Storage V3. Check for any active IP addresses or detected devices. This will help identify the system’s current IP address or confirm its network status.

If neither option resolves the issue, please review options C and D below and choose the one that best fits your situation.

C. Contact GeoVision Taiwan HQ Support
If the RAID group data is important and you want to avoid losing it, please contact GeoVision Support at support@geovision.com.tw

D. Reset the system to its factory default settings.
If you agree to proceed knowing that the RAID group data will be erased, please follow the instructions below.

[ Instructions ]
1. Power off the Storage V3.
– Press and hold the power button until the system shuts down.

2. Eject all the hard drives.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If the Storage V3 is connected to an Expansion System, please make sure to eject all the hard drives on the Expansion System as well.

3. Power on the Storage V3.
– Wait until the screen shown below appears (this takes about 2 minutes).
