Q. My GV-VMS stuck at loading when launching on newly installed Windows?
A. GeoVision Engineering has confirmed from a case that GV-VMS or other GeoVision software might fail to run properly due to the lack of Media Feature Pack in Windows N editions:
Here's a list of Windows 11 N editions:
Windows 11 Home N: This is the basic, consumer-focused version without the media features.
Windows 11 Pro N: This is the professional version, also lacking the media features.
Windows 11 Enterprise N: This is the enterprise-focused version without media features.
Windows 11 Education N: This is the education-focused version without the media features.
In this case, user will need to manually install the Media Feature Pack:
On Windows 10 N: Select , then select > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional features > Add a feature. Find the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features.
On Windows 11 N: Select , then select > Apps > Optional features. Select View features next to Add an optional feature, and then select the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features.
