[Technical Notice] GV-Software Functions Affected by PC Driver Updates

Symptom
After users update the graphics or chipset drivers on their PCs, or after Windows automatically updates their PCs, GeoVision software functions, such as the PVD motion detection function in GV-VMS, may not work properly.
Solution
The aforementioned problem can be resolved by restarting the computer after every graphics driver, chipset driver, or Windows update.

Symptom
After users update the graphics or chipset drivers on their PCs, or after Windows automatically updates their PCs, GeoVision software functions, such as the PVD motion detection function in GV-VMS, may not work properly.
Solution
The aforementioned problem can be resolved by restarting the computer after every graphics driver, chipset driver, or Windows update.
- For graphics driver updates, at the final step of the driver installation, click Reboot Recommended at the bottom right corner of the window to restart the computer.
- For chipset driver updates, at the final step of the driver installation, click Restart Now at the bottom right corner of the window to restart the computer.
- For Windows updates, to know if Windows has updated and a reboot is required, follow the steps below:
- Click the Windows Update Status icon in the taskbar notification area to open the Windows Update page, which can also be found in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- If there is a Restart required notice at the top of the page, click Restart now at the right of the notice to restart the computer.
