Summary
You can upgrade your GV-NVR software directly to GeoVision’s latest video management software GV-VMS. GV-VMS supports the following configuration settings from GV-NVR:
- User Account
- Camera List
- Camera Name
- Recorded Video Events
How to upgrade
- Close any open programs because your computer will restart during the uninstalling process.
- Click Windows Start button, select Control Panel, and select Uninstall a Program under Programs.
- In the list of currently installed programs, select GeoVision Digital Surveillance System, and click Uninstall/Change.
- When you are prompted to confirm removal of the program, click Yes.
- GV-VMS V18 for AI Integration (Paid Initial License Required) download page.
- GV-VMS V17 (Free 32 GV-IP CAM Channels; Win 8 or above required) download page.
- When prompted during GV-VMS installation, select Yes to convert the database..
- In this dialog box, enter GV-NVR admin’s ID and Password.
- In this dialog box, select the camera database you wish to convert to GV-VMS.
- When asked to confirm the database conversion, click Yes to proceed.
- When the database conversion is complete, this message appears, and GV-VMS automatically restarts after 10 seconds.
