Introduction
Since the aforementioned IP camera models have been phased out for some years, the camera's hardware motion detection has not been improved over time. We recommend that while connecting these IP cameras to the GV-VMS and GV-Recording Server, Software Motion Detection be enabled on the software to improve performance.
How to
To enable Software Motion Detection on GV-VMS
On the Advanced Motion Detection Setup dialog box, disable Enable Camera’s Built-in Motion Detection.

To enable Software Motion Detection on GV-Recording Server
On the Motion Detection dialog box, disable Use camera motion detection to reduce the server load.
