How to upgrade the Recording Server from v1.4.x to v2.0.x?
Answer:
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE YOU START:
1. Please use the "InstallShield Wizard" to uninstall the old version of Recording Server. If the "InstallShield Wizard" is unable to uninstall the old version, then please uninstall it via "Windows Control Panel".
2. DO NOT delete or modify the “Recording Server folder" after uninstalling the old version software.
Otherwise, it will cause database issues and missing recordings which are irreversible. By default, the folder is located at C:\Program Files(x86)\RecordingServer.
1. Right-click the Recording Server icon in the system tray and select Backup Settings. Select the settings you want to back up and click OK.

3. Unzip the downloaded folder, locate and double-click the "RecordingServer_Setup.exe" file.
4. An "InstallShield Wizard" will appear. Select Remove and then click Next. (Do not choose Reinstall / Upgrade)

6. After finishing the installation, right-click the Recording Server icon in the system tray and select Restore Settings. Select the backup file and click OK to start restoring the settings.
