Question:
Why there is no WMV9 function in Save As Avi on NVR v8.8 but VMS v17.3?

Answer:
Since there is compatibility problem (e.g. Audio disappear*) on some Windows10's Windows Media Player, we have replaced the WMV9 codec with standard H.264 codec. It works like WMV9, no additional GeoVision codec need to be installed for playing video.

*When user export video with WMV9 codec by Save as AVI feature in VMS V17.3, the video may become silent on some Windows10's Windows Media Player. Alternatively, please refer to the followings for temporary solution.

1. Export the video with Geo H.264 and play on Windows Media Player with Geo Codec installed.
2. Export the video with WMV9 and play with KMPlayer(3rd party) on Windows 10 or Windows Media Player on Windows 7.

We will apply the same fix to VMS v17.4/v18.1, replacing WMV9 with standard H.264 so customer can play the file via WMP directly.

1. NVR V8800 ---> Supported
2. VMS V17.4 ---> To be supported
3. VMS V18.1 ---> To be supported
