Symptom
An error occurs when downloading and installing video codec or repeated notifications prompting users to download new video codec on GV-ASManager and/or GV-ASRemote V5.1.1 or later. Solution
To resolve the abovementioned symptom, refer to the steps below depending on the software used, GV-ASManager or GV-ASRemote.
For GV-ASManager
- Close your GV-ASManager.
- Open the GV-ASManager directory (default:\Access Control\ASManager) and execute ASMiniService.exe to make sure all GV-ASManager services have been closed.
- Download VLCodecLoadLib.zip from here and unzip the file.
- Copy and paste the unzipped VLCodecLoadLib folder into the GV-ASManager to replace the original folder.
- Restart your GV-ASManager.
- Close your GV-ASRemote.
- Download VLCodecLoadLib.zip from here and unzip the file.
- Copy aand paste the unzipped VLCodecLoadLib folder into the GV-ASRemote directory (default:\\Access Control\ASRemote) to replace the original folder.
- Restart your GV-ASRemote.
