Symptom
Unable to run any of the abovementioned GeoVision software on Windows 10 V1803 or later.

Cause
This may be due to the Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support function on the operating Windows being enabled, which has been known for causing a spate of programs and/or plugins to be unable to operate when enabled. Click here for examples.

Solution

1. Go to Control Panel > Clock and Region and click Region.

2. Under the Administrative tab, click Change System locale…

3. Deselect the Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support function.

4. Click OK to apply the settings.
5. Restart your GV-Software.
