Released Date: 3/28/2012
Applied to
PTZ Devices
Symptom
When watching the live view of a PTZ device, the video can sometimes appear choppy if the device is moving. The symptom occurs because image drawing on the screen cannot catch up with PTZ movement.
Solution
For Windows Vista / 7 / Server 2008 users, the problem can be eliminated by enabling the Desktop Composition feature. The feature will direct image drawing to a temporary memory, instead of drawing directly to the screen, to produce a smooth image flow. For details about the Windows feature, see https://docs.microsoft.com/zh-tw/window ... m-overview
Follow the steps below to enable the desktop composition feature:
- Right-click the My Computer icon and click Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab and click the Settings button under Performance.
- Under the Visual Effects tab, select Enable desktop composition.
- Click Apply.
