[Technical Notice] Accessing GV-IP Cameras from HikVision Surveillance Software

Summary
This document describes the procedure of adding GV-IP Cameras to HikVision surveillance software through ONVIF.

Instruction
  1. On the GV-IP Camera’s Web interface, select Events and Alerts, select RTSP, and change the RTSP / TCP Port to 554.
  2. Type the User Name and Password to log in the Web interface.

  3. To manually add a GV-IP Camera:
    1. From the Web interface, select Configure, Remote Configuration, Camera Management and IP Camera. This page appears.

    2. Click Add. This page appears.

    3. Select IP for Registration Mode, type the GV-IP Camera’s IP address, User Name and Password, change the Management Port to 80 and select ONVIF for Protocol and change.
    4. Click OK. The camera is added.

  4. To watch the live view of the connected camera, select Live View and then select the camera from the left menu. The live view appears.

    Note:
    1. The Quick Add button (step 2d) is not functional for adding GV-IP Cameras.
    2. HikVision does not support audio function.
