Summary
This document covers two subjects:
  • how to install a patch file to improve the image quality of GV-1480B / 1240B / 1120B Combo Cards, and
  • how to adjust the video attributes of the connected analog cameras.
The Video Attributes is one of GV-DVR / NVR’s features. You can change the attribute settings based on your preference without the need to install the patch.

Solution

1. Installing the Patch
You can install the patch file below to improve cameras’ image quality on GV-DVR / NVR V8.5.8.0 when using GV-1480B / 1240B / 1120B Combo Cards. Before installing, close all GV-Software.
  1. Download the patch file from here.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file.
  3. Copy the content to the GV-DVR / NVR folder (for example: C:\GV-1480\) and replace existing files if needed.
From the sample images below, you can see that GV-1480B / 1240B / 1120B Combo Cards produce sharper image after installing the patch file.

2. Adjusting Video Attributes
Follow the steps below if you want to adjust the video attributes of the connected analog cameras according to your preference. There are two default sets of video attributes: Vivid and Standard.

Note: The Video Attributes is one of GV-DVR / NVR features. You don’t need to apply the patch to change the values.
  1. In the main system, click the Configure button, select A/V Setting, and select Video Attributes.

  2. You can select Vivid or Standard depending on which set of video attributes you want to adjust.
  3. Click the Configure button again, select A/V Setting, select Video Attributes and click Advanced. This dialog box appears.

  4. Use the drop-down list on the top to select a camera channel.
  5. Adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Hue as needed. You can click the finger button to apply the settings to all cameras.
  6. Click OK to apply the settings.
