[Technical Notice] GV-VMS Patch for ONVIF Issues

Symptom
When GV-VMS is connected to more than 45 channels of IP devices using ONVIF protocol, starting recording can sometimes result in GV-VMS instability.

Solution
Use the patch file below to resolve the issues.
  1. Close all GeoVision software and follow the steps below.
    1. Run Windows Task Manager.
    2. Under the Processes tab, look for GeoStartupAgentService.
    3. Right-click GeoStartupAgentService and select End Process Tree.
  2. Download the patch file from here.
  3. Unzip the downloaded file.
  4. Copy and paste the IPCAMX folder into your C:\Windows directory. Overwrite the old files when prompted.
  5. Restart GV-VMS.
