Summary
This technical notice introduces how to locate the version number of GeoVision software. For the officially released software, there are two ways of accessing its version number: one is from VersionInfo.ini file and the other is from Windows Control Panel. As for the patch file, you can only find its version number from the file name of the VersionInfo.ini file. The table below specifies the method for each software.

Finding the Version Number of Your GeoVision Software


For released software

1. From VersionInfo.ini File
   Take GV-ASManager for example.
   • In your GV-ASManager folder, select VersionInfo.ini.

   • The version number of the software is listed in the notepad file.

2. From Windows Control Panel
   Use Center V2 System as an example.
   Go to Control Panel, select Programs, and click Programs and Features. You can see the version number of GV-Center V2.

For Patch Files
Take GV-NVR for example. In your GV-NVR folder, the file name of VersionInfo.ini contains the version number of GV-NVR.
