Symptom
Occasionally, the License Plate Recognition function for the Global Engine may fail to recognize license plates detected in the connected cameras when the license plates begin and/or end with the number 1.

Finding the version number of your Global Engine

1. Go to :\GV-VMS\Library\Global or :\GV-DVR\Library\Global and right-click GeoCPRLib.ocx. to select Properties.
2. At the Details tab, you can find the version number.

Solution
You can install the patch file to improve the Recognition accuracy on the Global Engine V6.0.2.0 of GV-DVR / VMS LPR.

Before installing, close all GeoVision software first.

For GV-DVR:

• Click the Network button, select Control Center Service and select Stop All Service before closing your GV-DVR.

For GV-VMS:

• Click Toolbar, click Network, select Control Center Service and select Stop All Service before closing your GV-VMS.

For GV-ASManager:

• Close your GV-ASManager first. Go to :\Access Control\ASManager and double-click ASMiniService.exe. Wait for the command Window to automatically close itself.

Installing the patch file

1. Download the file from the link below.
   https://s3.amazonaws.com/geovision_down ... CPRLib.zip
2. Unzip the downloaded file.
3. Go to :\GV-VMS\Library\Global or :\GV-DVR\Library\Global
4. Copy the content to the Global folder and replace the existing file.
