[Technical Notice] Error Message “Decoder Open Fail” / “Codec Error” or Image Freeze on GV-VMS / GV-Control Center

Symptom for GV-VMS
When IP devices are connected to GV-VMS, an error message of “Decoder open fail.” may keep popping up on the main screen even after the OK button has been clicked to close the dialogue box.

Symptom for GV-Control Center
When Fisheye cameras are connected to GV-Control Center, via GV-DVR / NVR / VMS, an error message of “Codec Error” may pop up in Live View, Single View, or an image freeze may occur in Matrix View or Video Wall.

When Fisheye cameras are connected to GV-Control Center, directly or via GV-Recording Servers, an image freeze may occur in Live View, Single View, Matrix View or Video Wall.

Solution for GV-VMS
To resolve the above-mentioned symptom, follow the steps below to install the patch file.
  1. Close GV-VMS.
  2. Download the patch file from the link below:
    http://54.200.75.24/english/EncodeUrl.a ... .0.010.zip
  3. Unzip the downloaded file.
  4. Double-click the GV-VMS_V16.11.0.010 program.

  5. If the patch file is successfully installed, “Updated successfully.” will appear.

  6. Restart GV-VMS.
Solution for GV-Control Center
To resolve the above-mentioned symptom, follow the steps below to install the patch file.
  1. Close GV-Control Center.
  2. Download the patch file from the link below:
    http://54.200.75.24/english/EncodeUrl.a ... .0.007.zip
  3. Unzip the downloaded file.
  4. Double-click the GV-Control Center V3.4.0.007.exe program.

  5. If the patch file is successfully installed, “Updated successfully.” will appear.
