I am aware that the Backup Center initiates backups from the point of connection inception with GV-System.
Since I installed GV-System prior to Backup Center, how can I merge the pre-existing files with the new ones?
Response:
1. Disconnect the NVR from the Backup Center connection.
2. Locate the GeoBkSvrInfo.ini file in the NVR installation folder (typically found at: C:\GV-NVR\BackupSvr).
If you've customized the database storage path, it should be in the same location as the Database.
3. Open the GeoBkSvrInfo.ini file using Notepad or a similar text editor.
4. Adjust the "First Run Time" to a date earlier than your initial video recordings.
For example, if your first video was recorded on 2017/3/12 at 16:01:57.257, modify it to 20170312000000001 (this sets the initial Backup Center connection time to 2017/3/12 00:00:00.001, instead of the actual initial connection time).
5. Modify the timestamps of all the CamX entries under the [Video_Event] section to the same value (20170312000000001) as performed in step 4.
6. Re-establish the connection between Backup Center and GV-NVR. This will initiate the transfer of older recordings.
