A.
Below a simple walkthrough on how to link an ERM to NVR through Authentication Server:

1. Set up the Authentication Server IP and Password, click Server Setup Icon on top right hand side:

Now you know your Auth Server IP and Password, which will be needed by both NVR and ERM.

2. Now for NVR to connect to Auth Server:

IP will be Auth Server’s IP address, and IP Password should be Auth Server IP and Password.
Now add NVR to Auth Server by click “Add A Client” Icon:

Now NVR and Auth Server are connected.

3. We can add User, so they have on individual login and password,
Click Account Setup:

Click Password Setup:

Click Add New Account:

2017-11-03_16h26_53.jpg (7.12 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Add a new account, in this example we have User No.10:
2017-11-03_16h27_23.jpg
2017-11-03_16h27_23.jpg (13.21 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
We make them see 3 cameras:
2017-11-03_16h27_39.jpg
2017-11-03_16h27_39.jpg (21.16 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
We make another one, User 11 and make him see 4 cameras:
2017-11-03_16h28_02.jpg
2017-11-03_16h28_02.jpg (10.39 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
2017-11-03_16h28_16.jpg
2017-11-03_16h28_16.jpg (21.41 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Now test connection between NVR and Auth Server, notice the “closed” blue box Indicating the Auth Server is connected to NVR:
2017-11-03_16h29_42.jpg
2017-11-03_16h29_42.jpg (12.15 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Since User No.10 set to only see 3 cameras, so you see the following:
2017-11-03_16h30_07.jpg
2017-11-03_16h30_07.jpg (12.96 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
And for User 11(set to 4 cams):
2017-11-03_16h30_23.jpg
2017-11-03_16h30_23.jpg (11.89 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
2017-11-03_16h30_49.jpg
2017-11-03_16h30_49.jpg (14.67 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
NVR and Auth Server are connect correctly.

4. Now we need to use ERM to connect to NVR via Auth Server, so first in Auth Server
Click the “Control Center List” and add a client, in this case we name it “James Test2” as an example.
(the name will have to be different from one created on DVR List), this actually add the Control Center Service of NVR to Auth Server.
2017-11-03_16h31_53.jpg
2017-11-03_16h31_53.jpg (11.7 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Now in ERM, find in the bottom “Host list by ID”
2017-11-03_16h32_06.jpg
2017-11-03_16h32_06.jpg (13.23 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Calls up the following screen:
2017-11-03_16h32_19.jpg
2017-11-03_16h32_19.jpg (19.57 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Authorized ID and Password= the one set at Auth Server.
Client Name= the name on Control Center List, so ERM can connect to NVR’s “Control Center Server”.
2017-11-03_16h32_45.jpg
2017-11-03_16h32_45.jpg (13.04 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
Then you have successfully connect ERM to NVR through Auth Server.
Log in to ERM with User no.10, click Host List by ID:
2017-11-03_16h33_07.jpg
2017-11-03_16h33_07.jpg (11.07 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
2017-11-03_16h33_18.jpg
2017-11-03_16h33_18.jpg (9.96 KiB) Viewed 4376 times
And you can see 3 Cams only, the 4th one will show “No Privilege”, which is consistent with Auth Server’s setting.
