Q: How to configure VMS where it records key frame only when there is no motion and record full frame rate when motion occurs?
A:
In VMS, such condition is defined using Urgent Event or General Event.
1. Under IP camera install window, configure the record setting of Urgent and General Event as shown below.
2. Under record setting, select General Event under Video record frame and then change Video Record Type to Urgent under the Advance Motion Detection Setup.
This will then allow VMS to record full frame rate when motion is detection and record key frame only when there is no motion.
