[ Mobile ] GV-Eye cannot be connected to IP Camera, NVR, VMS, Setup, Port forwading - 20170628

Issue:
Customer claimed that they have followed the manual on how to set up the GV-EYE, but still could not connect to the IP Camera.

Connection Procedure
Below is the complete guide on how to enable the GV-EYE properly.
1. Please download the GV-Eye App from App Store/Google Play:

For GV-Eye app you will need to enable the [WebCam Server] plus enable the [Mobile] function in order to allow the App connection.
To do so, please follow the few steps below:

On GV-NVR Setting
At bottom of interface, click the buttons of [Network] > [WebCam Server (W)] > in the tab [Mobile], make [checked]

Once you click [OK], you will see the [Web] on the right side of GV-NVR

Or
On GV-VMS Setting:
At the right top of the buttons: [Toolbar] > [Network] > [WebCam Server (W)]

In the window, please check [Run Mobile Service], check [HTTP port], and the [Max. Image size] > [Actual Size](to let GV-Eye view in HD)

Now the setting on the PC is done, now is the time to perform set-up on GV-EYE. Please note at this step, for connecting from internet to GV-NVR/GV-VMS, you may need Port Forwarding as below by default:

GV-EYE Setting:
Below is the connecting example to connect GV-NVR/VMS site internally.
Please note the IP address is your GV-NVR/VMS PC, not individual of your cameras.

After this step is properly setup, the connection is ready.

Please note:
As mentioned above, if you are trying to access to your site externally you will need to work for Port Forwarding in your router/switch.
On GV-NVR you can navigate to [Network Port Information] to see what ports number you will need to enter during the Port Forwarding process.

The ports settings you can try to access your GV-NVR site for [Port Information] as below:

Make sure Port Forwarding is set up in the router/switch to allow the internet access.To understand how to setup port forwarding, please try to contact your router/switch manufacture for have further support.
