[ VMS ] v16.10.3, Key Lock Utility, black screen - 20170531

Issue:
Customers might encounter this black screen issue when:
1. Setting up Key Lock Utility -> 2. Changing Desktop Type to GV-VMS -> 3. Restarting PC

Users can use Ctrl + Alt + Del to log off the account and log back in to fix the issue temporarily.

Root Cause:
Bug in VMS software, and will be fixed in the next version, VMS 16.11.0.0.

Patch / Procedure:
1. Turn off VMS V16.10.3 and all of the GeoVision related program in the PC.
2. Download the patch file from the attachment.
3. Unzip the patch file "GV-VMS16.10.3.0.0.06.zip".
4. Copy and Paste all the files from "GV-VMS16.10.3.0.0.06" folder to C:\GV-VMS\. ( Two files can be found in the folder. )
-Desktop.exe
-VersionInfo_GV-VMS16.10.3.0.0.06_170518.ini
5. Run VMS V16.10.3.
