Question:
Why GV-NVR v8.7.1 does not have an option to pre-rec using RAM?
Answer:
Since most of the IP Camera provides at least 1.3MP resolution, which means the file is much bigger than analog camera, which only provide CIF or D1 resolution, RAM is no longer big enough to keep pre-record files. To avoid RAM suffer from high loading, we finally disabled the feature in NVR. However, in DVR or other capture card related GV-System, it is still available for the customer to choose whether using HDD or RAM to keep the pre-record files.
