Question:
VMS v14.101 audio playback start and stop randomly when set to motion record.
Answer:
The reason might be that motion video only triggered once for several times, creating short audio clips that sounded like audio start and stop randomly during playback.
When you set record to motion record and audio record by sensitivity, then VMS 14.10 will only record audio when motion is triggered AND audio sound is higher than the sensitivity threshold you set. When the above 2 conditions are not met the audio will not record. So when audio does not pass threshold during motion, audio will not get recorded.
When audio is set to RTC during motion record, the audio will only record when motion is triggered.
This is VMS 14.1x spec and this behavior differs from Multicam v8.62.
VMS 15.10 will have the same behavior as Multicam v8.62 in audio record mode.
