A couple things need you to know about SNVR0812.

1. Geovision IP cameras ( such as A-Series/T-Series or others ) must setup their IP address as DHCP when they connected directly to the back of SNVR0812's camera LAN PoE port. SNVR0812 will act as DHCP server and assign 192.168.10.xxx to those GV-IP cameras.

2. Since SNVR0812 features 2 independent network settings (LAN and WAN), which has no Bridge between LAN and WAN, in the back of their PoE ports. See comparison chart as below.

3. There is an additional binding step that users will need to take when using GV-Eye to scan QRcode in SNVR0812. Otherwise, they will NOT be able to see the live view or Playback in GV-Eye. Please go to GV-Eye's setting >> click Add binding account. Follow user manual page 10 to setup a binding account for remote viewing the live / playback in GV-Eye via QR code scan

4. If SNVR0812 needs WAN access, here is how you setup.

IP Cameras ---> SNVR0812's LAN PoE port ---> SNVR0812's WAN port connects to a Router ---> Router connects to WAN network

- All GV-IP cameras connect to SNVR's LAN PoE ports will setup as DHCP for their IP address
- SNVR0812's WAN port will setup as DHCP for its IP address and hookup with a router, which will connect to the WAN network
- User can use SNVR Web page to modify SNVR's network setting and configuration. For instance, SNVR's F/W upgrade and SNVR's IP addresss/ID/PWD's modification.

5. If users would like to configure the GV-IP cameras that are hookup in the back of SNVR0812, they would need to hook up their PC/laptop in SNVR's LAN PoE port and setting their PC/laptop's IP address as DHCP. Using SNVR0812's WAN port will not work because they are sharing different network in this case.
