Summary
This document covers the basic instruction on adding GV-IP Cameras to QNAP surveillance system using ONVIF protocols.
Instruction
Before you start
To allow QNAP to access GV-IP Cameras through ONVIF, you must first change the RTSP port to 554 on the Web interface of the GV-IP Camera before adding the camera.
- Start the Internet Explorer browser, and type the IP address of the GV-IP Camera.
- Type the login name and password, and click Apply.
- In the left menu, select RTSP under Events and Alerts and change the RTSP / TCP port to 554. Click Apply.
Installation
- Open the QNAP Finder to search the servers installed with QNAP software.
- Double-click the desired server and log in by typing the account and password.
- Click the System Configuration button to install a GV-IP Camera.
- Click the Setting icon.
- Select ONVIF in the Camera Brand field and ONVIF ProfileS Cameras in the Camera Model field. Also, type the camera name and IP Address of the GV-IP Camera.
- Type the Username and Password of your GV-IP Camera and select Enable recording on this camera. Click the Test button to see if there is live view showing. Click Apply.
- On the Camera Settings page, click the Monitor icon.
- You should see the live view now. Note: QNAP VS-2008 Pro VioStor does not support audio function.
